Day 4/5 - Chilly for GA

We had another pretty easy drive, other than a strong headwind, from MB to GA and arrived at Bro Ran's (#4) about 17:30, about 7 hrs including gas and food stops.  Bro Rich (#8) and his friend, Mike, arrived about 19:30 from the Chicago area. Randy and Sue of course had dinner planned and we all feasted on spicy Chili....and beer.   It was great to see my bros, nephew and relatives again.

Thursday was a bit chilly for GA this time of year, high in the 50's but a lot warmer than what they are getting up north.

The boyz took the morning and went to the range to shoot..because that is what you do in GA.  (BTW, I got my butt chewed for stepping out to take this picture...Ran is military and all all about safety/procedures)

Randy has a really cool pistol game called 'softball', basically you put 3 soft balls in the field and then three shooters try to blast the balls up the hill across a goal. It is test of one's aim and reload skills, and quite fun. Within a few hours we had gone thru about 400-500 rounds, Randy has some reloading to do.

From the range we stopped at a fast food Italian place for lunch...fast food Italian food..does that make any sense?  Anyway, Fazoli's was not bad and we were hungry.

I spent the afternoon doing my taxes, yes doing my taxes...it had to be done and I would not enjoy my vacation with it not being done, so while the others went for a long walk...I got it done.

We spent the evening playing darts in Randy's 'Man Cave' and then Sue and Randy cooked steaks on the grill for everyone, yes..we mooched another meal..we are so good at this!

Tomorrow Randy has to work some of the day, it is supposed to be a bit warmer, so maybe we will just hang in the sun....

  1. I am still here! Sue and I did a little shopping and then just relaxed, a true vacation. I don't even have to cook, bonus!
